When Ideas Start Flowing – Give Yourself Permission to Enjoy the Process

In my work as a startup advisor, I meet people every week who come to tell me about their new ideas. We talk, brainstorm, and spar — and the innovator leaves ready to take their idea to the next stage.

A week later, I get a call: “Hey, I’ve come up with three more ideas!”
And that’s when the flood of new ideas begins.

Many people start to feel mixed emotions at this point. Excitement is soon joined by stress — there are now several unfinished projects competing for attention.

But in fact, this is when something significant happens: the gateway of thinking has opened.

A person begins to notice problems, solutions, and business opportunities around them that they hadn’t seen before. It’s a natural phase of creativity — the mind has awakened to see the world in a new way.

“Innovation requires a bit of self-forgiveness at times. Ideas can’t be forced — they come when we dare to give them space.”

And yes, the time will come when one idea is chosen, and focus returns.
Then everyday life and concentration once again set the rhythm for your work.

But until then, it’s worth pausing, taking a breath, and enjoying the moment.

Innovation requires a bit of self-forgiveness at times. Ideas can’t be forced — they come when we dare to give them space.
