THE THEME CATEGORY
The THEME category of the Tervatynnyri Pitching Competition in 2026 is aimed at innovations in the game industry, game concepts, and ideas that develop the business of gaming. The category offers an opportunity to present new perspectives, creative solutions, and future gaming experiences to industry experts as well as the general public.
The competition’s preliminary jury will select the finalists in November 2026, and they will have the opportunity to present their ideas to the jury and the audience at the Tervatynnyri Pitching Competition final event held on 3 December 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to receive feedback, find new collaboration partners, network with gaming industry professionals, and further develop your idea.
The prize for the Theme series is a mentoring package.

Meet the judges of the THEME category
JUHO KUORIKOSKI, GAME DEVELOPER, RDI SPECIALIST, AUTHOR
Juho Kuorikoski is the founder of Horsefly Games and lives in Kaustby. Kuorikoski has developed and published several games for both PC and consoles. He also works as an RDI Specialist at Centria. Kuorikoski has written numerous books about games and the gaming industry, and has been a regular contributor to Pelit magazine since 2009.
JUSSI LOUKIAINEN, GAME DEVELOPER, GAMING INDUSTRY ENTREPRENEUR
Jussi Loukiainen is a gaming industry entrepreneur and developer with over ten years of experience leading a game incubator, working as a mentor, and running his own game company, Platonic Partnership. In 2025, he founded Coyote Time Publishing, a publisher specializing in indie games.
