THE MASTER CATEGORY FOR ENTREPENEURS
The MASTER category is aimed at entrepreneurs who want to showcase their innovative business ideas. There was time until the end of October to develop and submit your ideas.
The finalists of the competition were chosen at the beginning of November, and they will have the opportunity to present their ideas to the judges and the audience at the final event of the Tervatynnyri pitching competition on November 28, 2024. This is an excellent opportunity to receive valuable feedback, network with industry professionals, and take their business to the next level. The winner of the Master category is awarded a cash prize of 5000 euros!

Vesa Pihlajamaa, invesa oy
Vesa has had a long career in development and management roles in the industry, including at the Kemira Group. Until February 2020, he worked in the media sector as the CEO of KPK Yhtiöt. He is currently one of the founding partners of Botnia Hightech, now operating under the name Sasken Finland.
Joel Sunabacka, lähitapiola pohjanmaa
Joel serves as the CEO of LähiTapiola Pohjanmaa. He has extensive experience in the financial sector, having held various leadership positions. Joel has received national recognition for his work, including being a finalist in the Young Leader of the Year competition in Finland and winning the title in his region. Joel is known for his strong and quick business mindset. Additionally, investing is close to Joel’s heart, and in his work, he manages the investment portfolio of the largest investor in the Ostrobothnian region, LähiTapiola Pohjanmaa.
Ville Urpilainen, Suomen Rahoitusneuvoja Oy
Ville has over 15 years of diverse experience in the financial sector, both in Finland and abroad. He is an investor in several growth companies and actively participates in the boards of a few companies. Ville’s main job is working as a Chief Financial Officer.
pIia malmberg, Suomen Uusyrityskeskus
Piia Malmberg serves as the CEO of the Finnish New Business Centers. Piia has over 10 years of experience in demanding business management roles. Her areas of expertise include strategic management and implementation, growth generation, business development, and HR issues.
sanna vihermaa, Arvo Sijoitusosuuskunta
Sanna is Arvo’s investment manager and has worked for over 15 years in business management and corporate finance. She has been on both sides of the table – both seeking funding and deciding to whom it is granted. In her current job, she aims to find good investment opportunities. “Business models and forecasts are, of course, always carefully evaluated, but ultimately a competent and enthusiastic team makes a company succeed.”
